We decided to evolve this past January. We have been steadfast vegetarians for years. . .decades even, and the time had come to fully commit to the next, and the greatest step in compassion of all, which without a doubt is to adopt a vegan lifestyle.
It is our hope that by committing to a vow of harmlessness from this point forward, we will begin to cultivate more and more love, joy, generosity and compassion, even within those people who may not be initially receptive.
Our decision to evolve was based upon numerous things, including our deep love of animals, but a recent and main impetus was the book "The World Peace Diet" by Will Tuttle, Ph.D. Maybe you will not read his book (although you should if you care about world peace!), but perhaps you have 4 and a 1/2 minutes to watch the beautiful video above.
And if you don't even have 4 and a 1/2 minutes, won't you think for a second or two about where your next meal will come from? Maybe, just maybe, you will decide to choose a meal of compassion, nonviolence, and reverence for all life. Won't that taste delicious?

Your passion is working on me...I've been eating a lot more vegetables...I'm coming from an environment mind set more....but when I think of you saying "partaking in the flesh" I have found myself buying less meat these last two weeks.
So, hey, you are getting the message out there!
Maybe I'll convert one day.
