We got the pathology results back today, and unfortunately it was not everything that we had hoped for in Ozzie's case, but there are still some good things about this diagnosis. It is a low-to-intermediate grade lung cancer that was completely excised. There was no evidence of invasion and the margins were clean. The pathologist thinks that it is unlikely to metastasize.
So, we are in a better position than we were 6 weeks ago, or even 6 days ago, with this additional information. We will probably monitor him with serial chest radiographs, and just hope and pray that the tumor does not recur. Thank you everyone for keeping our amazing dog in your thoughts and prayers. He still needs everyone to send him those PAW-sitive vibes for the next several years until we are completely in the clear!

Heidi is very happy to see Mr Oz doing so well and that you have a long time to enjoy the boy and spoil him!
Of course we will send good vibes his way and sing a few of his favorites when next we see him!
